License questions

Is there a free evaluation?
Yes. The first 30 days after download give you full read and write access - no key, no account, no credit card.
What happens when the evaluation ends or my key expires?
The app drops to read-only mode. Your data stays on your machine, you can keep opening and browsing your data. To edit again, paste a new license key.
How does the license key work?
A key is a short string that encodes a usage period. Pick a preset (1, 3, 6, or 12 months). Pricing is $9 per month of usage, with the annual key discounted to $99. Paste the key into the app and read/write is unlocked for the encoded period.
How long do I have to redeem a key?
Redeem it within the period you bought - a 1-month key inside 30 days, an annual key inside a year. Your emailed receipt states the exact date. There is no reason to wait: the full period starts the day you paste the key in, not the day you bought it, so applying it immediately costs you nothing. After that date the key can no longer be applied, and it cannot be reissued.
Where do I find my license key after paying?
It's emailed to the address you give PayFast on the checkout page, usually within a minute. Lost it? Email support@stateframe.app with the order number from your receipt and we'll resend.
Do keys auto-renew?
No. Keys are one-time purchases. When the period elapses, the app reverts to read-only until you buy and apply a new key.
Can I run Stateframe offline?
Yes. The app is self-contained and runs without an internet connection and keys validate locally.
